The EMT 5500 supports Email reporting of network conditions. A network administrator, for example,
can configure the EMT 5500 to periodically
send email status reports of the state of the network. This includes a summary of the number of
targets that are Up, Suspect, Down, or Hard
Down and a list of the Hard Down targets.
Email reporting is very useful for network administrators who want to keep track of the state of their
network wherever they are. As long as a
user has email access he can find out how his network is doing. An example Email Status Report
configuration is as follows:
