Daily and Monthly Logging of Network Performance
The EMT 5500 is useful for guaranteeing that your network meets its Service Level performance requirements by logging outages for every IP
target and keeping daily and monthly logs for review. These logs include:

entmon_log.csv
entmon_log.csv is the log file which lists important state changes. As the program starts, all targets are assumed to be Up. As ping attempts fail the states of targets may change and be reflected in the log. Only state changes from Up to Down and vice versa will be logged. This is a comma separated file (CSV). The following table lists the individual fields:

Field NameDescription
TargetIP address of the target or 0.0.0.0 for general info
NameTarget Name, process Startup, or percentage of down targets
StateUp or Down, blank if process startup
Number DownThe number of targets currently down, or blank
Number TotalThe total number of targets, or blank
DateDate and time of this log entry

latency-year_mo.csv
latency-year_mo.csv is the log file which lists the ping response times of targets throughout each month. The response times are averaged each
day and then averaged at the end of the month. The times can be used to determine if there is any performance degradation in the network for any particular target. The following table lists the individual fields:
